How Many Lenses Do You Own? [POLL]

It is time for another reader Poll this one comes out of a conversation yesterday with a reader who sheepishly admitted to having 13 lenses for his DSLR. In fact he had spent around $1000 on his camera body but had lenses with a combined value of over $15,000!

So I thought it might make a fun poll how many lenses do dPS readers own?

Of course this poll is mainly focused upon the DSLR owner although really anyone with an interchangeable lens camera can vote.

Edinburgh loses in Class A semistate

SOUTHPORT, Ind. — The look on the faces of the Edinburgh High School boys basketball players said it all.

The Lancers held a narrow lead over Loogootee throughout much of Saturday’s Class A semistate at Southport, but back-to-back 3-pointers by the Lions in a span of 15 seconds with 3 minutes left in the game gave them their first lead since midway through the second quarter. More importantly, they had recaptured the momentum.

The Edinburgh players looked stunned after the six-point swing. Coach Drew Glentzer called timeout in an attempt to calm his squad, but they never recovered, as Loogootee dominated the finish in a 61-50 win. The

Thousands of previously unknown drug side effects and interactions identified by Stanford study

Were all familiar with the litany of disclaimers and warnings that accompany pharmaceutical ads: the hurried voice-over of possible side effects that inevitably follows a scene of a smiling woman breathing deeply in an allergen-filled meadow or a couple running hand in hand on a tropical beach toward a distant romantic hideaway. Often the list seems almost comically long and dire.

But what do you do if youre on the medication and experiencing a symptom that is inexplicably not included in the droning monologue? How do you know if its a true side effect?

100,000 NC high school juniors to take ACT

About 100,000 high school juniors in North Carolina’s public and charter schools are sitting down to take the ACT college entrance exam.

North Carolina’s public schools are giving the test Tuesday to 100,000 11th graders as a measure of whether students are learning what they need for college. The test is free for students, who can submit their ACT scores when they apply to college.

The State Board of Education last year made the ACT a requirement for high school juniors, in part because it includes a section on science.
