New Elementary School Principals for Duval County Named

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Fifteen elementary schools in Duval County will have new leadership once the 2011-2012 school year begins.

Superintendent Ed Pratt-Dannals announced the changes at the 15 schools this morning.

Timothy Feagins moves from being Assistant Principal at Woodson Elementary to Principal at Woodland Acres Elementary.

Christine Kumer, former Assistant Principal at Sabal Palm Elementary, is now Principal at Love Grove Elementary.

Tammy Boyd, former Principal at Fort Caroline Elementary, is now Principal at Alden Road.

David Pinter, former Principal at Finegan Elementary, is now Principal at Fort Caroline Elementary.  

Jennifer Copeland, former Assistant Principal at Spring Park Elementary, is now Principal at Venetia Elementary. 

Barbara Sistrunk, former Assistant Principal at Oceanway Elementary, is now Principal at Hogan Spring Glen Elementary.

Calvin Reddick, former Principal at Timucuan Elementary, is now Principal at Ruth Upson Elementary.

Peggy Kring moves from Principal at Ruth Upson Elementary to Principal at Timucuan Elementary.

Amy Bright moves from Assistant Principal at Westview Elementary to Principal at Oak Hill Elementary.

Susan Hamner moves from Principal at Bayview Elementary to Principal at West Riverside Elementary.

Kim Coleman moves from the FLDOE Regional Office to become Principal at Bayview Elementary.

Denise Ahearn, former Principal at Pine Forest Elementary, becomes Principal at Holiday Hill Elementary.

Tamara Williams, former Assistant Principal at New Berlin Elementary, becomes Principal at Pine Forest Elementary.

Alan Due, former Principal at Bank of America Learning Academy, becomes Principal at Finegan Elementary.

Tara Bruce, former Assistant Principal at Andrew Robinson, is now Principal at Cedar Hills Elementary.

“One of our goals is to employ the best teachers and principals,” said Pratt-Dannals. “These leaders are integral to our mission of providing high quality educational opportunities that will inspire students to be successful.”
