Stonewall and McLish Education Foundation awards scholarships
STONEWALL The Stonewall-McLish Education Foundation (SMEF) awarded scholarships to three Stonewall seniors at the Stonewall High School commencement exercises May 19 in the Murphy/Roberts Gymnasium at Stonewall.
Paige Curtis, Tarra Ward and Brettney Brady each received $500 for the Fall 2010 semester, to be renewed for the Spring 2011 semester if eligibility requirements are met. The certificates were presented by Janelle Robinson, SMEF President.
Since 2008, SMEF has been awarding scholarships to students. In addition to scholarships, grants are also awarded to teachers.
The Foundations purpose is to enhance the quality of education for all students in the Stonewall School System. Resources are made possible by donations given by Board members, teachers, various individuals and corporations.
The Foundation is grateful for every donation, regardless of size.
