Students investigate geology of Arbuckle
Ada Junior High School seventh and eighth grade science students recently investigated the geology of the Arbuckle area through classroom experiences. A presentation by Dr. Robert Neman, on-site expert guided field trips, by differentiating between rocks and minerals, describing the formation of fossils, identifying natural resoruces and observing how these resoruces are used in everyday lives.
This project was funded through an Ada City School Foundation Grant, “Our Natural Resources Dont Take Them for Granite,” authored and developed by AJHS science teachers Lynda Roberts, Luke Penrod and Loretta Feiler.
