Friday roundup: Dobbs, Mahopac, Haldane start like they finished
Three of last seasons County Center teams debuted seamlessly tonight: Class B runner-up Dobbs Ferry, Class C runner-up Haldane and AA semifinalist Mahopac.
For Dobbs, it was an odd season debut, coming just five days after the football team won the state championship with guys like John Yozzo-Scaperrotta, Thomas Fleming, Eddie Ritch and Spencer Avalos all pulling double duty. But the star tonight was sophomore Eric Paschall, who coach Scott Patrillo raved about in the preseason. (Obviously, for good reason.)
Mahopac also routed a Briarcliff team many have high expectations for. With nine players lost to graduation, thats impressive.
Ill add to the recaps throughout the night.
